Should I invest in global shares? Design Process – Crafting a Design Brief

Raffles can be a huge part of any golf tournament. While most golfers know they will likely not win the tournament and are just playing for fun, the possibility of winning one or more of the awesome raffle prizes can entice even the most novice golfer. When planning and organizing a raffle, it is important to keep these tips in mind.

Make it Visible

Making your raffle visible can begin long before the day of the actual tournament. Organize yourself well in advance so that when you advertise the tournament, you can also advertise the golf tournament raffle prizes. With the right prizes and the right advertising, this will help draw participants in to sign up for the event.

It is also important to be sure that wherever the raffle is being held is well marked on the day of the event. Whether it is a table set up near the course, or a separate room in the clubhouse, you’ll want to make sure that this location is well-marked and highly visible. Create bright colored signs, hang balloons or even have an announcer with a microphone or megaphone so that the raffle is sure to be noticed.

Make it Fun

You’ve already got balloons and bright colors, possibly even some music playing too. But you want to be sure that your raffle is fun and attractive in every way. This not only includes the presentation of the raffle itself, but the prizes being raffled off. A crowd full of golfers is sure to love the idea of winning a free round of golf or even some punch passes. You might even include the latest and greatest driver or some new golf shirts or pants from the pro shop. Prizes don’t have to be golf-related either. Gift baskets from your generous sponsors are also a great way to dress things up and get the sponsor’s name out there as well. How about offering concert tickets or tickets to the next big game?  Participants love the idea of winning anything, but especially when it’s the most sought-after ticket in town.

Be sure to announce raffle winners in a fun and exciting way. Play loud music. Announce names over the mic. Make your winners feel like true winners. When they feel the thrill of winning, even if it’s just the raffle, they’ll be back again next year for more fun and great prizes.
